Dr. Lundgren

gravity for blogI am ….Dr. Susan Lundgren a licensed primary care doctor who brings the art and science of health to the family practice model. Inspired to improve our current health care system, I went into medicine to be a revolutionary rather than sit on the side-lines and bitch about insurance companies, big business medical practices, symptoms management/ rather than treating the cause, and treating the disease rather than the individual.

I graduated from University of North Carolina, where I majored in Biology and Fine Art with a minor in Chemistry.  While at UNC, I enjoyed working at a large teaching hospital, shadowing doctors and studying with midwives.  While growing moldy in England,  became more interested in natural medicine leading to my discovery of Naturopathic Medicine, which brought me back to the States to pursue this passion at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM). I received my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from SCNM, a four-year medical school in Tempe, Arizona. In addition to many hours of formal education at SCNM, I completed several women’s health seminars,  additional courses in botanical medicine as well as sought further training in women’s health.

Currently I dedicated myself to using natural therapies to promote optimal health, treating a wide spectrum of illness and chronic disease, as well as promoting preventive care.  I empower patients with the tools and knowledge to create their own ideal of wellness.

I help patients achieve health through the principles of Naturopathic Medicine using a variety of modalities including: Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Hydrotherapy, Homeopathy and AK/ Physical Manipulation. In addition to my private practice, I formulate, create and sell products for healthy living and teach classes on health-related subjects.

Please note: My horrid spelling does not reflect on my intelligent–I just spell creatively.

My son has had intractable epilepsy for most of his life; I recently heard of Edgar Cayce’s view of epilepsy, as typically being causally related to the abdomen which seems to fit with my own observations of my son’s problems. I found your site when I searched on this and wondered if you knew anyone in England who practises the castor oil approach and abdominal massage?John Anderson

I do not know any one in England that is doing the castor oil approach. However, I will check some of my resources to see if I can give you some leads. I lived in England for 3yrs and collected many health books and alternative therapy information, so I may just have something for you. Where are you located?- Dr. Lundgren
